water beauty: chapter 7

Sonic's POV

I was looking at the ocean when taking a break from my search on the beach. I had been searching for shadow ever since the police had told us that they didn't have any news about shadow so far. I was really worried about him. What if they were hurting him on this very moment?

I sighed when hearing a voice call out to me. "sonic!" Amy called and walked towards me. I turned to face her. "i have been looking everywhere for you." She said and followed my gaze to the ocean. "i'm sure that he didn't drown." Amy said and smiled reassuringly to me. "i hope you're right." I sighed and turned away from the water. I walked back towards the dike. Amy followed me closely behind. I waited till she was next to me before grasping her hand and started heading towards our house.

Shadow's POV

I still didn't know what they were planning on doing to me. Was i just here for observation since i was a new species of fish in their eyes? Or were they planning on doing something cruel to me? Either way, i hoped that they would let me go home soon. I'm sure that my family was worried about me. Sure we weren't as close with eachother as other mobians, but they would still notice it if i were to dissapear into thin air.

I tried listening to what they were saying, but because of the glass i couldn't. I tried breaking it, but the glass was to thick for me to accomplish that with what i had in this aquarium. I sighed and sat down on the sand at the bottom. I wish i could escape. But i knew that i couldn't go anywhere with a broken anckle. This was annoying. All i could do was wait for something to happen.

I heard someone jumping into the water. He signed me something, but i didn't know what he meant. Was he telling me to go up? Not knowing what else to do i complied and swam up with difficulty. I pulled up by two poeple with my arms. I coughed the water out of my lungs and adapted to the dry enviremont.  One of those two handed me a towel and the other pulled me along after i wrapped it around me. Since i didn't wear clothes i was, for some reason, considerate naked to them and they handed me the towel to wrap it around me.

I was lead through various grey corridors untill i was lead up a stairs and got in white corridors. They walked me to a room and made me lay down on a observation table. I laid down on it and those two poeple who lead me here made my wrists and anckles, save for the broken one, stuck to the table with leather belts. I was getting nervous. What were they going to do to me?
